Doubleheader - Brewers go 2-0 for Championship

Today the Brewers took both games in a doubleheader to win the League Championship. Game One started at 9:30 AM, and the Brewers put up 6 straight runs with 2 outs in the 6th inning to win 7-0. Eric Fierro pitched 6 shutout innings in the start on the mound. The Brewers came out strong in Game 2 with 2 HRs in the third to go up 5-1, before giving up a few runs to let the lead slip to one. The game would be close up until the top of the eighth, when the Brewers went up 11-6. They would not relinquish the lead. By 4:30, the Brewers had the Championship trophy in hand. The Brewers finish the season with a 17-2 overall record.

The Brewers now have the option of competing with other League Champions from all throughout California, an option that Manager Beto Juarez has yet to accept or decline.
